About the Pontelletto canyon
The Pontelletto canyon lies in Campo di Trens (Freienfeld), just north of Fortezza. It's a technical, formative canyoning tour, loved by those who really want to learn the discipline: cool water, solid rock, lots of rope abseils and alpine scenery.
The tour is modular — Short, Medium, Fullday — so you can choose the level of commitment. The Fullday tackles the whole canyon with more than 15 abseils (the longest around 30 metres) and several optional jumps. Ideal if you've done canyoning at least once before.
Compared to Lappago, here the focus is on rope work more than on jumping. It's the right place if you want to learn the moves, safety and basic knots to keep going in the canyoning world.
Frequently asked questions
Is it beginner-friendly?
The Short tour, yes — a great first technical experience. Medium and Fullday are best for those who have done canyoning before.
What's the minimum age?
From age 10 for all variants, as long as you can swim and are OK with rope exposure.
Do I need rope experience?
No, we teach abseiling at the start of the tour. Guides handle the safety at every abseil.
What should I bring?
Swimwear and a towel. Everything else is provided by us and already included in the price, at no extra cost (for the Fullday also bring a snack and water).
How long is the Fullday?
About 7 hours total, with 4.5-5 hours inside the canyon. Bring a sandwich: we eat halfway through on a safe ledge.
