How to choose

Family with small children (4-7 years): Rienz in Pustertal — the calmest and most scenic river.

First time rafting / active family: Ahr in the Ahrntal — family tour from age 5, with the optional Ahr Plus extension for teens and adults.

Action and technique (from 10-12 years): Eisack in the Eisacktal between Sterzing and Franzensfeste — the most demanding run.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum age for rafting in South Tyrol?

From 4-5 years on the Rienz, from 5 years on the Ahr and from 10-12 years on the Eisack.

Do I need to be able to swim?

It is not required: wetsuit, life jacket and helmet are provided, and certified guides accompany every descent.

What should I bring?

Swimwear, a towel and trainers that can get wet. All other equipment is provided.
